SUMMARY:TRL-VA Intensifying Reading Instruction for Students Not Making Desired Progress
DESCRIPTION:A number of factors need to be considered when students are not making the desired progress with skill acquisition. The Intensification Framework from the National Center for Improving Literacy provides a structure for consideration of factors impacting student learning\, necessary instructional components\, and aspects of lesson design and delivery to then deepen the instruction for the student. This session will provide an overview of the Intensification Framework and then explore examples of intensifying instruction across the Tiers and for SDI.
